Give your hair rest

Washing your hair too often can acerbate the dryness. Shampoos contain chemicals that can rob your hair of moisture. If you have to clean it daily, simply condition your hair and scrub it like you would while shampooing. But if you feel shampooing, use mild shampoos that do not harm your hair.

Be gentle with your hair

Brushing hair is good, but limit it to twice a day. Other times finger comb it. This also helps spread oil from the scalp to your hair strands.

Be gentle with your hair all the time. 

When shampooing and drying it, don’t scrub and rub too vigorously. When styling your hair don’t let elastics and hair bands get tangled in your hair and break it.

Always condition

Don’t skip conditioning. Look for a conditioner meant for dry hair. Also, go for a moisturising shampoo. You might need to experiment a bit till you find one that works for your hair.

Pamper your hair with a weekly deep conditioning.

 Simply condition your hair and wrap a hot, damp towel around it. Wash off after 20 minutes.

Turn down the heat


Air-dry your hair whenever possible. If you must use a dryer, keep it on a low heat setting. While on this point, stay away from curlers, rollers and flat ironsas they damage hair, causingit to dry.

Eat healthy, stay healthy

Include foods like salmon, delicious nuts, seeds and avocado in your diet.Along with lean meats, beans and low-fat dairy products, these are excellent for repairing dry hair.
