Easy Party Snacks Recipe

Fun and fuss-free hosting
It's always fun getting together with friends and family at home, but one of the most stressful elements of having people over is having to feed them. While pizzas, burgers and chips are always reliable crowd-pleasers, you can take your hostess game to the next level by serving up party snacks with an exotic twist.
While looking around for party food ideas and finger food recipes, try listing your favourite foods from different cuisines and mixing something Western with something Asian. You might find that some fusion between the two will yield surprising results.
The blend of flavours from both Eastern and Western elements may not only produce some sophisticated and surprising combinations, they’re also likely to be incredibly delicious. Best of all, they don't have to require much effort to prepare, so you can take the tension out of hostess duties and spend more time entertaining your guests.
Simple snacks with an irresistible twist
Quesadillas, for example, are notoriously easy and amazingly versatile. Swap the usual grilled meat filling with teriyaki chicken, and you’ll be delighted at how the syrupy teriyaki complements the oozing cheese perfectly, melting together into a bite of heaven. You can also try a mango, bacon and cheese filling instead, for a tropical twist that will have your guests reaching for seconds.
Try an Asian version of spicy tuna tartare, which is also extremely simple to put together: grab some fresh tuna, dice it, and mix with some hot sauce, diced red onion, mayonnaise, and a dash of sesame oil. Served on unsalted waffle chips or rice crackers, these make the perfect elegantly sized appetisers. The crunchy chip perfectly contrasts with the raw tuna and the slight tingle of the chilli, making every mouthful a supremely satisfying one.
Another super easy dish to prepare is wasabi and mayonnaise shrimp. Simply boil the shrimp, and then toss them in a mixture of wasabi and mayonnaise. Serve on a rice cracker and top with thinly sliced scallions, or on a lettuce leaf for a healthier alternative.
If your guests prefer vegetarian food, try putting together simple avocado and baked tau kwa crostini. Tau kwa, a firmer version of tofu or bean curd, tastes delicious whether it’s fried, boiled or grilled. On some toasted baguette slices, smear a generous helping of fresh avocado and top it up with tau kwa that you’ve browned nicely in the oven. As a finishing touch, sprinkle a bit of sea-salt on top.
